Children's Day @ ICR London 4 June 2011, 1pm

You are invited to celebrate with us Children's Day and the wonderful world of childhood. Timeland is a puppet animation show which reminds us that every moment in life can be a magic one.

Tim is a boy who is bored to be a child and wants to grow up quickly. He embarks on a journey that will show him that growing up is not the simplest thing in life and sometimes not even the most desirable one. Becoming a prisoner in a world of distant future, Tim will soon learn to cherish every moment in life as friendship and joy make every age a beautiful one.

This event is organized by the Romanian Cultural Institute in London and is part of the At Home in Belgrave Square series. The programme, under the patronage of HE Dr. Ion Jinga, the Ambassador of Romania, aims to support and develop the initiatives of the Romanian community in Great Britain. The events are intended to preserving Romanian cultural and linguistic identity. Come At home in Belgrave Square!

Cristian Luchian has been educated as a Theatre Director at Babes - Bolyai University of Cluj-Napoca, Faculty of Theatre and Televison. In the last 10 years he has been working in stage design and visual efects for theatre shows. Since 2006 he is the Art Director of Underground Theatre Festival in Arad.

Anca Doczi is a Performance Arts practitioner with high interest in puppetry and experimental work. Educated at MA level in Theatre Studies, Acting and Performance Arts at the Faculty of Theatre and Television, Babes - Bolyai University of Cluj-Napoca, she is now preparing for her PhD at the University of East London, Insititute for Performing Arts Development.

Monica Madas alias Monooka is a London-based Romanian puppeteer and singer-songwriter. She graduated Acting&Puppetry at the University of Theatre and Film, UNATC-Bucharest in 2003. Between 2003-2005 she made an MA in animation movie at the same university. She has 14 years experience in acting and puppeteering.

Emanuel Cifor is a young actor educated at BA level in Theatre Studies, Acting at the Faculty of Theatre and Televsion, Babes - Bolyai University of Cluj-Napoca.
