Talk: The New Romanian Cinema: A Critic's Perspective

Influential critic Geoff Andrew, the curator of the 'Revolution in Realism. The New Romanian Cinema' season at the BFI Southbank, reveals why the Romanian filmmaking of the last decade is so rewarding and exciting. Using clips both from the films in the season and the accompanying Cristi Puiu Retrospective, he'll cast a critic's eye on the development of a distinctive but pleasingly varied approach to notions of 'realist' storytelling. Tickets £6.50
