The Romanian Cultural Institute is delighted to invite you to celebrate the launch of George Tomaziu's English translation of the 'The Witness', the stunning memoir of an artist who had the courage to rise against the two great evils of the 20th century, Nazism and Soviet Russia. Join Jane Reid, the artist's friend and translator, the author's son Georges Tomazi and celebrated writer Alan Judd to unveil the exemplary tale of heroism, endurance and survival. With introductory remarks by John Owen of John Sandoe Books.
Accompanied by a glass of wine.

- What impact (in quantitative and qualitative terms) are energy and digital mutations having on employment?
- Are industrial relations systems (dialogue between economic and social actors) adapting to meet the challenges of these mutations?
- What conditions must the overhaul of these systems meet if competitiveness and social cohesion are to be safeguarded?

The European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) and the Economic and Social Council of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg invite you to participate in the conferenceRoad transport:social dumping and cross-border infrastructure integrationIt will concentrate on two topics:• social dumping in the road transport sector (afternoon of 11 November)
• cross-border infrastructure problems in transport (morning of 12 November)Please consult the draft programme.We expect this to contribute to the discussion of the European Commission's road package (to be published next year), namely by presenting the recently adopted EESC opinion "Internal market of international road freight: social dumping and cabotage". We also aim to debate problems and solutions for the (still existing) problems in cross-border infrastructure.
