On 24 February 2015, the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) will hold a conference on the future of the European Social Dialogue.
The purpose of this conference would be to explore possibilities of strengthening and expanding EU social dialogue as a means to enhance the social dimension of the European Union. The conference would cover topics such as:
- The role of social partners in EU economic and political governance.
- The enabling conditions for well-functioning social dialogue, and how can the EU contribute to creating such conditions.
- How to improve the structure and especially the content and substance of the European Social Dialogue.
- Broadening the coverage of collective bargaining.
- Effectiveness of transnational collective bargaining.
- European social dialogue's contribution to globalisation with a human dimension.
- The synergies between social and civil dialogue.

Le 24 février 2015, le Comité économique et social européen (CESE) organise une conférence sur le thème "L'avenir du dialogue social européen".
L'objectif de la conférence est d'examiner les possibilités de consolider et d'élargir le dialogue social européen pour renforcer la dimension sociale de l'Union européenne. Cette conférence couvre les sujets suivants:
- Le rôle des partenaires sociaux dans la gouvernance économique et politique de l'Union européenne.
- Les conditions nécessaires au bon fonctionnement du dialogue social; comment l'UE peut-elle contribuer à la création de ces conditions.
- Comment améliorer la structure et en particulier la teneur et la substance du Dialogue social européen.
- Comment assurer la couverture la plus large possible des négociations collectives.
- L'amélioration de l'efficacité de la négociation collective transnationale.
- La contribution du dialogue social européen à une mondialisation à dimension humaine.
- Les synergies entre le dialogue social et le dialogue civil.

Discover the creative forays of contemporary Romanian fashion design with a spectacular showcase centred upon the interplay between tradition and innovation. Fashion designers Alexandru Nimurad and Alexandra Abraham, and jewellery designer Victoria Tonu take the story of the exquisite Romanian blouse back to its roots, developing their clothing and accessories around its symbols, forms and colours, as well as its rich cultural background and visual connections. The exhibition, part of the International Fashion Showcase at the London Fashion Week, is made in collaboration with GALATECA Gallery of Contemporary Art and Design in Bucharest.
Followed by a wine reception.

Parliament Week 2014 Youth in Democracy-20th November 2014-House of Parliament, London

This is a joint debate and audio/visual presentation dedicated to Youth in Democracy, organised by Pro Art & Co and the World Peace and Prosperity Foundation, at the House of Commons. It will discuss social, cultural and political aspects of young people's involvement as active citizens in local communities and wider into British society. The audience will contribute with their views on relevant issues of importance and their proactive participation may influence creation of policies and the results in election of representatives through firm and resolute voting.
Cultural democracy is a concept, which concerns all people and structures their proactive commitment to recognise all people's basic human rights to participate, create and enjoy cultural diversity around the world. It also enhances access to multicultural sphere of activities.
This free dialogue will explore what is closest to young people's hearts, their cultural individuality and their role in active cultural affairs and politics on both local and governmental levels, or their European and International presence and the impact of their involvement in diverse cultural projects.
We invite all interested young people and other citizens to join in this free event and to contribute their ideas and opinions to the debate. The event will include a short cultural programme and refreshments after the debate.
