The 6th International Conference on the MANAGEMENT OF TECHNOLOGICAL CHANGES, Greece , 2009
The 6th International Conference on the MANAGEMENT OF TECHNOLOGICAL CHANGES that took
place in Alexandroupolis, Greece, on 3rd-5th of September 2009 was jointly organized by Gheorghe Asachi
Technical University of Iasi, Romania through CETEX Department, with the Democritus University of
Thrace, Alexandroupolis, Greece, supported by CEEMAN – Central and East European Management
Development Association, Slovenia.
Already a tradition of high level international scientific events, like the other previous editions, the
conference brought together representatives of various state and local governmental institutions,
universities, small business, industry associations from all over the world to debate and exchange
experiences and important issues related to the management of technological change and to provide a
good opportunity for networking for all these groups that promote and foster the process of technological
change.
The conference took place in the Conference Center of TRAKI PALACE HOTEL ***** from
Alexandroupolis. Chairmen, distinguished professors from prestigious universities from all over the world
were leading the discussions from the 32 sessions, simultaneous held in 4 rooms.
In Openning Session important figures from academic and business field had some very interesting
speaches, like:
- President of CEEMAN, Danica Purg, represented by Prof. Ovidiu Nicolescu, PhD.
- greek local authorities representatives and members of Greek Parliament;
- rectors of the two organising universities, represented by Prof. Athanasios Karabinis, PhD, Vice-
Rector of Democritus University of Thrace, GR and Prof. Ion Giurma, PhD, Rector of “Gh. Asachi” Technical
University of Iasi, RO, represented by Assoc. Prof. Dorin COTIUSCA-ZAUCA, PhD, Dean of Hydro, Geodesy
and Environmental Engineering Faculty.
Between conference sessions we had the honor to listen the speeches of distinguished keynote
speakers, as:

On 3rdof September 2009, after the official Oppening Session of the Conference, it was organized a
coktail around the pool on TRAKI Palace Hotel’s terrace. On this occasion the participants could change
opinions in an informal framework
On 4thof September 2009, after conference sessions ended, we could enjoy Gala Dinner in a
magnificent atmosphere at Ag Gyorgy Greek Taverna, few km away from Alexandroupolis, where
participants could feel the Greek spirit, by tasting traditional food, wine and music.
Based on lessons learned from previous conferences we selected very carefully every conference
theme in order to help organizations and people to identify and respond to technological changes trends
and to rethink the way they do business. Thus, the main areas of interest proposed for the submission of
the papers, covered the following sections:

The Proceedings of the conference included the full text of papers. The 6th Conference active
participants came from different parts of Europe (Albany, Austria, Bulgaria, Finland, France, Germany,
Greece, Latvia, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Moldova Republic, Serbia) and also from UK, USA,
Algeria, Canada, Israel, Russia, Tanzania, Turkey.
The 392 published final papers, signed by 300 main authors, are the result of a laborious process of
selection and evaluation by an International Evaluation Committe, which selected from 500 submitted
works (6% of the papers were rejected, 24% accepted with recommendations and 60% accepted as it is).
The International Evaluation Committe was composed of 75 evalators from 15 contries, distingueshed
proffesors from prestigious universities, of wich approximately 50% from outside Romania.
We are convinced that the papers published in conference proceedings contribute significantly to
knowledge transfer in Management of Technological Changes and the participants will implement some of
the principles and activities in their own institutions.
Finally, we would like to thank to all participants who shared their expertise with colleagues at the
conference. We also hope that papers included in these two volumes will give new ideas to the readers in
their quest to solve various problems.
The conference would not be possible without the joint effort of the organizing committee
(Democritus University of Thrace and Technical University of Iasi) and evaluating committee, to whom we
are deeply grateful.
The organizers express their gratitude to all conference sponsors for their support, which made this
conference possible. We are optimistic and we wish this would represent a productive and enjoyable visit
to Alexandroupolis, Greece. We do hope that will keep the tradition and the conference will continue to be organized every other year in the future.

Consiliul Judeţean Suceava, prin Centrul Cultural Bucovina, secţia Centrul pentru Conservarea şi Promovarea Culturii Tradiţionale Suceava, în colaborare cu Societatea Scriitorilor Bucovineni, Primăria comunei Mălini şi Complexul Muzeal Bucovina, organizează ediţia a XLI-a a Festivalului naţional de poezie „Nicolae Labiş”, în perioada 16 – 18 octombrie 2009, la Suceava şi Mălini.
Concursul îşi propune să descopere, să sprijine şi să promoveze noi şi autentice talente în rândul tinerilor creatori de poezie.
R E G U L A M E N T
1. Sunt acceptate în concurs lucrări nepublicate şi nepremiate la alte concursuri literare.
2. La concurs pot participa autori care nu au depăşit vârsta de 30 de ani, nu sunt membri ai Uniunii Scriitorilor, nu au debutat editorial şi nu au obţinut Marele Premiu la ediţiile precedente ale concursului.
3. Lucrările, dactilografiate în cinci (5) exemplare, vor fi trimise pe adresa:

Secţia Centrul pentru Conservarea şi Promovarea Culturii Tradiţionale Suceava
Str. Universităţii nr. 48, Suceava, 720228
4. Lucrările se trimit până la data de 17 septembrie 2009. Ele vor purta în loc de semnătură un motto ales de autor. În coletul poştal va fi introdus un plic închis (având acelaşi motto), care va conţine un Curriculum Vitae al autorului. În Curriculum Vitae se va specifica în mod obligatoriu: numele şi prenumele autorului, locul şi data naşterii, studii, activitate literară, adresa completă, numărul de telefon şi eventual adresa electronică.
5. Fiecare participant are dreptul de a se înscrie în concurs cu minimum cinci (5) poezii şi maximum zece (10).
6. Lucrările nu se returnează, ele urmând a intra în patrimoniul concursului „Nicolae Labiş”, iar laureaţii vor fi publicaţi în „Caiete mălinene” , volum editat de Centrul Cultural Bucovina, secţia Centrul pentru Conservarea şi Promovarea Culturii Tradiţionale Suceava.
7. Laureaţii vor fi anunţaţi până la data de 9 octombrie 2009, pentru a fi prezenţi la festivitatea de premiere, precum şi la manifestările prilejuite de finalizarea concursului, care vor avea loc la Suceava şi Mălini între 16 şi 18 octombrie 2009. Manifestările vor consta în lansări de carte, conferinţe literare, expoziţii, şezători literare, recitaluri de poezie, vizite la muzee şi monumente de artă din judeţ, realizate cu participarea membrilor juriului şi a altor personalităţi literare. Organizatorii asigură masa, cazarea şi cheltuielile de transport (bilete de tren-clasa a doua). În eventualitatea în care laureaţii doresc să fie însoţiţi şi de alte persoane, acestea trebuie să-şi suporte integral toate cheltuielile, iar organizatorii trebuie anunţaţi până cel târziu la data de 13 octombrie 2009, pentru a face rezervările necesare.
8. Juriul concursului va fi alcătuit din critici literari, membri ai Uniunii Scriitorilor din România.
9. Membrii juriului nu mai pot schimba ulterior ordinea rezultată în urma jurizării.
10. Pentru cele mai valoroase lucrări prezentate în concurs, juriul va acorda următoarele premii:
- Marele premiu „NICOLAE LABIŞ”
- Premiul I
- Premiul II
- Premiul III
Vor fi acordate, în funcţie de posibilităţi, şi premii ale unor reviste literare.

Lazarov s-a dus, barcagiul a sosit la malul sau si l-a luat asa cum a venit
de Alexandru Petrescu Emil y Conde de Transilvanya
Pe Valeriu Lazarov Lesner il puteai auzi in platourile de televiziune strigand: "¡Corta! ¡Repetimos! (Stop !Repetam!).
L-am cunoscut intamplator in Madrid in 1992. Ca proaspat azilant politic lucram la o firma americana numita "Kirby" si am facut in vila sa, situata in Puerta de Hierro, o revizie la un aparat ce-l achizitionase recent a cincea sotie a sa, italianca Antoanella. Valeriu m-a invitat de cateva ori la cina, apoi m-a intrebat daca doresc sa lucrez pentru el la Tele Cinco - Spania, noul sau copil de suflet unde isi incepuse activitatea. M-a invitat in biroul sau situat la etajul 42, din Torre de Picasso, din Madrid, spunandu-mi: „vei incepe de jos ...scara iti apartine, poti urca sau cobori. Viata de emigrant e grea.” Am facut la inititiva sa studii de "cameraman" (asa mi-a sugerat sa incep, platindu-mi chiar el scoala), expert in productii cine-tv-radio, la Universitatea Complutense si realizator programe tv la Universidad Carlos III, din Madrid. Am lucrat pana cand si el s-a retras din Tele Cinco. Intr-un interviu mi-a declarat ca in 1992 a fost in Romania cu Berlusconi sa faca doua canale de televiziune, dar a ramas dezamagit pentru ca premierul Petre Roman i-a cerut mita. "Nu este vremea mea acolo!" spunea el dezamagit de greutatile intampinate. Prin 1994 ma rugase sa-i trimit decupaje din presa romana, sa fie la zi cu evenimentele de acolo, despre actori sau mondenitati. Eu i-am sugerat sa duca in Romania programul spaniol de la Antena 3 prototip numit: "Surprize ...Surprize!" si " Mi media naranja " - transformat mai apoi in Romania - "Din dragoste" si "Lo que necesitas es amor"...
In 1997 am lucrat cu Valeriu, "El Maestro" cum il alintau spaniolii, la teleseriile Hostal Manzanares" si "Tio Willy".
Am avut norocul sa fiu pe platourile studiourilor Tele Cinco - España in calitate de asistent de regie sau mai apoi de inregistrari, la descoperirea multora dintre starurile tv spaniole: Natalia Estrada (cunoscuta prezentatoare si a emisiunilor tv din Italia, actuala sotie a fratelui lui Berlusconi), Penelope Cruz, Belen Rueda, grupul Mama Chicho, Emilio Aragon, Xuxa, Yvones Reyes sau chiar pe Ana Botella, sotia fostului premier spaniol Jose Maria Aznar, ca sa nu uitam si de ajutorul dat personal Amandei Lear, iubita lui Salvador Daly. De cate ori lucram sub obladuirea lui directa se plangea de carmuirea opaca, post comunista din tara. Era un mare admirator al domnului Coposu si al lui Ion Ratiu. Desi evreu, era admirat de catre refugiatii din Miscarea Legionara a lui Horia Sima. Cei de dreapta il acuzau ca ar fi fost comunist si de aceea a refuzat sa fie Directorul General al Televiziunii spaniole, iar "rosii" il proclamasera "facha" (fascist), pentru ca dictatorul Franco l-a acceptat la tv. Spaniolii nu-i intelegeau experimentele tv si-l poreclau "Mister zoom". A fost casatorit de 6 ori, dar spiritul sau de familist convins prima ori de cate ori putea, avand relatii amiabile cu fostele sale sotii si mai ales cu copiii sai, pe care-i diviniza "in extremis". Reusise sa fuga din Romania printr-un tertip pus la cale de catre cantareata spaniolilor la Eurovizion , Salome si directorul de la TVE - Juan José Roson, care i-a facut o invitatie personala prin Televiziunea de stat spaniola si prin scrisorilor trimise de comunistul Santiago Carrillo. Valeriu Lazarov l-a lansat practic chiar si pe Julio Iglesias pe piata muzicala internationala prin video- clipurile regizate printr-o noua viziune in acea epoca, ce mai tarziu va fi copiata 100% de catre MTV. Marca Valeriu Lazarov vinde prin sine insasi. Totul era revolutionar, nu doar pentru Spania. Emisiuniile create si supervizate de el ca: Miss Spania, dezbaterea politica "in life" transmisa de catre Tele Cinco intre Jose Maria Aznar si Felipe Gonzalez, au ajutat nu doar prin sharer-ul mare de spectatori, Galele de varitati, teleseriile ...tot, absolut totul avea o mare audienta in Spania, Italia si mai tarziu in Romania. Pe Valeriu l-am propus domnului Traian Basescu sa-l numeasca ca director general la TVR cu 3 zile inaintea reusitei sale la alegerile prezidentiale. I-am propus, inca in viata fiind, sa fie de acord ca macar o strada dintr-un oras din Romania sa-i poarte numele. Si chiar reusisem in proportie de 30 la suta sa-i conving pe cei din orasul Ploiesti, pentru ca primarul din Barlad, din acea perioada, ca raspuns al unei scrisori trimise la biroul sau, nici macar nu a raspuns. Totusi a primit cu drag in 2004 Premiul Comunitatii Romanilor din Spania si ne-a declarat atunci: "Este pentru mine acest premiu incununarea sudorii mele depuse in slujba telemaniei, mai ales ca romanii m-au uitat si comunistii m-au hulit mult timp, numindu-ma tradatorul natiei ! Acum ambasada ma cheama mereu, imi cere ajutorul, dar cand era Novaceanu (Darie n.n) ambasador m-a sunat sa-i pun o antena pe ambasada, ca tot sunt specialist in televiziune! Si le-am pus-o! Gratis, ca tot m-a rugat ca sa fie la un pret mic, asa ca de la roman la roman ! "
Director general la Finninvest , Director general la Tele Cinco , Presedintele executiv la Prime Time Communicacion, Medalia de aur a Regatului Spaniei cu merit in munca, Premiul de talent (2002) al Academiei de Stiinte si Arte Spania. Ce se poate spune oare pe scurt despre un monstru sacru al televiziunii fara a nu repeta curriculum sau vitae, la nesfarsit? Poate ca nu a fumat, nu a baut cafea si nici macar alcool nu a consumat? Era tiffosi de Juventus si "mozo"Atletico de Madrid in Spania."Nu am facut niciodata sport, dar imi salta inima si ma madresc cand aud de moldoveanca mea Nadia, de Nastase ...tenis-manul si Hagi"...Un mare colectionar de ceasuri pe care a promis ca le va dona ... "odata si odata Muzeului Ceasului din Ploiesti"
Timpul ...ceasurilor sale s-au oprit aseara. Cand a ajuns in Spania si in occidentul pe care atat de mult il venera in azilul interior ce si-l decretase, a suferit cand o serie de monstrii sacrii ca De Sica, Maurice Chevalier, Pablo Picasso, Anna Magnanni, Passolini, Maria Callas, Papa Pablo VI sau John Lennon, Grace Kelly dispar unul cate unul..."si ma durea sa aud de atat de multe morti..."
Intre maniile sale erau: sa nu manance usturoi, sa stea in baie 2 ore si sa-si schimbe camerele de hotel rezervate dupa mici capricii de decor. Ii placea Fernet Branca, la orice mancare utiliza in loc de sare doar salsa de soia sau in loc de piper - tabasco, cu colturi de paine rumenite. Dormea doar cinci ore pe zi...si alea cumulate si amestecate cu sportul national spaniol numit "siesta". Isi aducea aminte cum comunistii romani i-au rechizitionat mamei sale, pe cand avea doar 8 ani, fabrica de mobila care apartinea familiei sale.
"Cand eram student in Bucuresti ma duceam cu fetele la un restaurant in Cisimigiu...si aranjam mereu cu ospatarii sa umfle nota de plata si sa scot mereu un bacsis mai mult decat generos ...A doua zi ma duceam sa-mi recuperez banii si uite asa mai cadea cate o colega in mrejele dragostei! Asa mi-au picat in plasa multe din fostele stelele ale mediei din tara". Valeriu Lazarov a fost casatorit oficial in Romania de doua ori pana la plecarea sa definitiva. "Asa cred, ca eu am fost casatorit de fiecare data cand iubeam o fata. Femiea de aceea a fost creata, doar sa fie iubita si ocrotita si sa ne deschida ochii spre o alta femeie care intruchipeaza alta dinastie". Prima sa sotie in libertate (1970) a fost actrita cubaneza Elsa Baeza (fiica unui diplomat si a unei scriitoare), cu care a avut primul copil -Valerio Jr.
In 1973 divorteaza. Actrita (cunoscuta din filmul "Tarzan si misterul junglei -1972) Deideree Fizpatrick (Didi Sherman), fata unei ambasadoare si a amiralului Sherman, devine urmatoarea sotie. Din acest matrimoniu s-au nascut Sergio Lazarov Sherman Fiztpatrick si Roberto. Adonella Azzonni, in 1989 director de programe tv Tele Cinque este ceruta in casatorie de catre Valeriu, care se scuza ca e un fel de Chaplin si la numarul de casatorii. Andreea si Valentina sunt rodul casatoriei lor. In anul 1996 Valeriu iese "ciufulit" financiar din divortul cu Antoanella si se casatoreste pentru prima data cu o spaniola, Sonia Costa - designer tv, chiar in data de 11 septembrie 2001. Sonia stia ca totul se va narui repede, asa ca in 2002, pe 7 iulie, se divorteaza chiar de ziua fiestelor de tauri din Pamplona.
Augusta Dumitrascu cu doar 22 ani, fiind cea care i-a fost ultima sotie, casatorindu-se in vara anului 2004."Dealtfel prietenii spanioli apropiati au afirmat ca atunci cand au prezentat idila ar fii arfimat"Es mi ultima navegacion,mi ultimo tren ...Sotia aceasta va fii pana la moarte ! Si sper sa nu fie o aventura doar pentru ea...Cand ma uit la ea sunt gelos chiar pe mine,insumi."
Valeriu mi-a confesat ca a sosit in Madrid cu o valiza de carton si trei perechi de ciorapi, dorindu-si sa-si cumpere o masina Fiat 600. Cand lucra pentru Berlusconi isi dorea un Merces ultimul tip si inca mai spera ca o sa-si cumpere acea broscuta italieneasca odata si odata, macar ca sa o tina in garaj, ca sa-i incununeze dorintele pe care nu si le-a putut niciodata indeplinii. Lazarov s-a dus. Barcagiul a sosit la malul sau si l-a luat asa cum a venit. Intr-o valiza ce ramane pentru toti plina cu iluzii.

I-am propus, inca in viata fiind, sa fie de acord ca macar o strada dintr-un oras din Romania sa-i poarte numele. Si chiar reusisem in proportie de 30 la suta sa-i conving pe cei din orasul Ploiesti, pentru ca primarul din Barlad, din acea perioada, ca raspuns al unei scrisori trimise la biroul sau, nici macar nu a raspuns. Totusi a primit cu drag in 2004 Premiul Comunitatii Romanilor din Spania si ne-a declarat atunci: "Este pentru mine acest premiu incununarea sudorii mele depuse in slujba telemaniei, mai ales ca romanii m-au uitat si comunistii m-au hulit mult timp, numindu-ma tradatorul natiei ! Acum ambasada ma cheama mereu, imi cere ajutorul, dar cand era Novaceanu (Darie n.n) ambasador m-a sunat sa-i pun o antena pe ambasada, ca tot sunt specialist in televiziune! Si le-am pus-o! Gratis, ca tot m-a rugat ca sa fie la un pret mic, asa ca de la roman la roman ! "
Director general la Finninvest , Director general la Tele Cinco , Presedintele executiv la Prime Time Communicacion, Medalia de aur a Regatului Spaniei cu merit in munca, Premiul de talent (2002) al Academiei de Stiinte si Arte Spania. Ce se poate spune oare pe scurt despre un monstru sacru al televiziunii fara a nu repeta curriculum sau vitae, la nesfarsit? Poate ca nu a fumat, nu a baut cafea si nici macar alcool nu a consumat? Era tiffosi de Juventus si "mozo"Atletico de Madrid in Spania."Nu am facut niciodata sport, dar imi salta inima si ma madresc cand aud de moldoveanca mea Nadia, de Nastase ...tenis-manul si Hagi"...Un mare colectionar de ceasuri pe care a promis ca le va dona ... "odata si odata Muzeului Ceasului din Ploiesti"
Timpul ...ceasurilor sale s-au oprit aseara. Cand a ajuns in Spania si in occidentul pe care atat de mult il venera in azilul interior ce si-l decretase, a suferit cand o serie de monstrii sacrii ca De Sica, Maurice Chevalier, Pablo Picasso, Anna Magnanni, Passolini, Maria Callas, Papa Pablo VI sau John Lennon, Grace Kelly dispar unul cate unul..."si ma durea sa aud de atat de multe morti..."
Intre maniile sale erau: sa nu manance usturoi, sa stea in baie 2 ore si sa-si schimbe camerele de hotel rezervate dupa mici capricii de decor. Ii placea Fernet Branca, la orice mancare utiliza in loc de sare doar salsa de soia sau in loc de piper - tabasco, cu colturi de paine rumenite. Dormea doar cinci ore pe zi...si alea cumulate si amestecate cu sportul national spaniol numit "siesta". Isi aducea aminte cum comunistii romani i-au rechizitionat mamei sale, pe cand avea doar 8 ani, fabrica de mobila care apartinea familiei sale.
"Cand eram student in Bucuresti ma duceam cu fetele la un restaurant in Cisimigiu...si aranjam mereu cu ospatarii sa umfle nota de plata si sa scot mereu un bacsis mai mult decat generos ...A doua zi ma duceam sa-mi recuperez banii si uite asa mai cadea cate o colega in mrejele dragostei! Asa mi-au picat in plasa multe din fostele stelele ale mediei din tara". Valeriu Lazarov a fost casatorit oficial in Romania de doua ori pana la plecarea sa definitiva. "Asa cred, ca eu am fost casatorit de fiecare data cand iubeam o fata. Femiea de aceea a fost creata, doar sa fie iubita si ocrotita si sa ne deschida ochii spre o alta femeie care intruchipeaza alta dinastie". Prima sa sotie in libertate (1970) a fost actrita cubaneza Elsa Baeza (fiica unui diplomat si a unei scriitoare), cu care a avut primul copil -Valerio Jr.
In 1973 divorteaza. Actrita (cunoscuta din filmul "Tarzan si misterul junglei -1972) Deideree Fizpatrick (Didi Sherman), fata unei ambasadoare si a amiralului Sherman, devine urmatoarea sotie. Din acest matrimoniu s-au nascut Sergio Lazarov Sherman Fiztpatrick si Roberto. Adonella Azzonni, in 1989 director de programe tv Tele Cinque este ceruta in casatorie de catre Valeriu, care se scuza ca e un fel de Chaplin si la numarul de casatorii. Andreea si Valentina sunt rodul casatoriei lor. In anul 1996 Valeriu iese "ciufulit" financiar din divortul cu Antoanella si se casatoreste pentru prima data cu o spaniola, Sonia Costa - designer tv, chiar in data de 11 septembrie 2001. Sonia stia ca totul se va narui repede, asa ca in 2002, pe 7 iulie, se divorteaza chiar de ziua fiestelor de tauri din Pamplona.
Augusta Dumitrascu cu doar 22 ani, fiind cea care i-a fost ultima sotie, casatorindu-se in vara anului 2004."Dealtfel prietenii spanioli apropiati au afirmat ca atunci cand au prezentat idila ar fii arfimat"Es mi ultima navegacion,mi ultimo tren ...Sotia aceasta va fii pana la moarte ! Si sper sa nu fie o aventura doar pentru ea...Cand ma uit la ea sunt gelos chiar pe mine,insumi."
Valeriu mi-a confesat ca a sosit in Madrid cu o valiza de carton si trei perechi de ciorapi, dorindu-si sa-si cumpere o masina Fiat 600. Cand lucra pentru Berlusconi isi dorea un Merces ultimul tip si inca mai spera ca o sa-si cumpere acea broscuta italieneasca odata si odata, macar ca sa o tina in garaj, ca sa-i incununeze dorintele pe care nu si le-a putut niciodata indeplinii. Lazarov s-a dus. Barcagiul a sosit la malul sau si l-a luat asa cum a venit. Intr-o valiza ce ramane pentru toti plina cu iluzii.

Conferinta Internationala a Uniunii Internationale a Femeilor Române

In zilele de 26-30 iunie 2009, in Atlanta/Gwinnett, Georgia, S.U.A., a avut loc cea de-a doua Conferinta Internationala a Uniunii Internationale a Femeilor Romane, UNIFERO Inc., cu tema “Unitate in diversitate a femeilor americane, romane si de alte etnii – specificitate si universalitate”. Conferinta a fost anuntata in ziare locale si pe paginile de website ale Birourilor Vizitatorilor din Alpharetta si Gwinnett, Georgia, ca un eveniment deosebit.
UNIFERO Inc., este o organizatie umbrela, nonprofit si nonguvernamentala, o platforma si o porta voce pentru femeile romane din tara si dinafara ei, o organizatie in care sa se regaseasca femeile din oricare parte a lumii, indiferent de rezidenta, grup etnic, pozitie sociala, calificare profesionala, virsta, denominatie religioasa, sau preocupari.
In cele cinci zile ale Conferintei au fost prezenti circa 120 de femei si barbati din S.U.A., Romania, R.Moldova, Israel, India, Pakistan, Banglades, Nepal, Irak, Venezuela.
Conferinta a fost onorata de mesaje primite din partea Excelentei Sale Adrian VIERITA, Ambasador al Romaniei la Washington, a Directiei Pentru Originarii din Romania, Secretar de Stat Eugen TOMAC , din partea domnului Mircea POPESCU, Presedinte si Fondator al World Romanian Congress, California, a Organizatiei Refugiatilor din Basarabia, Bucovina de Nord ai Tinutul Herta, Presedinte jurist Ioan SENIUC, a Forumului Democrat al Romanilor din Moldova, Presedinte Nicolae DABIJA,. S-au primit numeroase alte saluturi din Franta, Romania, Spania, Republica Moldova, Bulgaria si Israel.
Intre invitatii speciali care au prezentat referate s-au aflat reprezentantele W.A.V.E. (Asociatia Veteranelor de Razboi din Marina Americana), invatator grad I Mariana Valentina GUSETU (Romania), Srg. Tracy LEE de la Sheriff’s Office, doamna Valeria DASCALU, Primar al comunei Sabaoani (Romania), dr. Aurelia SOLTAN, Emory University (Atlanta, USA), Viorel Catalin MAIER (Israel), Maria SIHA (Timisoara, Romania), Lidia BADULESCU (Bucuresti, Romania), Galina CHIRA (R. Moldova), Master program la Universitatea West Alabama, Dr. Connie HOLLIMAN, William Glasser Institute, Nancy D. HERRICK, Master in Educatie; profesoara Alina JILAVU (Liceul de Informatica Piatra Neamt, Romania), prof. Smaranda LIVESCU (USA), dr. Yvette DREW si Sharon MORRIS (Sistemul de Invatamint Dekalb, Georgia).
Au fost prezentate si lucrarile trimise de Monica SCRIDON, membra in Biroul Director, Elena Simona PAUN ANTONE, Diana PAUNOIU, Jenica ROMANICA, Veronica MITRONCHI si Anca MUNTEANU, Anca CEAUSESCU, prof. Dr. Radu REY.
S-au abordat teme majore ca: “Romancele, pastratoarele traditiilor si obiceiurilor”, “A fi femeie in America”, “Violenta in familie”, “Femeia, manuscris al timpurilor si societatii”, “Stop traficului uman”, “Despre abuzul impotriva femeilor in Africa”, “Femeia valaha/romana in Bulgaria”, “Clubul femeilor de la tara”, “Romanca in politica”, “Senioarele si singuratatea”, “Romanca, sol al prieteniei si pacii”, “Aviatia la feminin”, “Femeia ‘migratoare’ in cautare de slujba”, etc.
Expozitii de filatelie si cartofilie pe teme feminine (Viorica HRUSTOVICI, Romania), de artizanat, fotografie, grafica, pictura, un stand de carti din biblioteca UNIFERO care a cuprins volume ale autorilor: Monica SCRIDON, membru al Biroului Director, Anica FACINA, Paraschiva ABUTNARITEI, Nusa ILISIE si o expozitie de oua ornamentate (mostre primite prin amabilitatea prof. Radu REY).
A avut loc un spectacol de dans popular romanesc si nepalez.
S-au acordat diplome celor mai merituoase personalitati care si-au adus aportul la implinirea actiunilor UNIFERO, la desfasurarea cu succes si a lucrarilor acestei Conferinte si au fost anuntati si premiatii castigatori ai concursului de creatie jurnalism/eseu literar pentru elevi romani si straini.
Prof. Smaranda CAZAN-LIVESCU, fondator si Presedinte al organizatiei i-a fost inminata din partea Ambasadei Romaniei la Washington (Ambasador excelenta Sa Adrian Cosmin VIERITA) si a Departamentului pentru Romanii de Pretutindeni din cadrul Ministerului Afacerilor Externe, Diploma de Excelenta pentru promovarea cu onoare a imaginii Romaniei in lume.
In timpul lucrarilor Conferintei s-au discutat detalii legate de stabilirea de filiale si directorate UNIFERO in Romania, Republica Moldova, Canada, Italia, SUA si in alte tari unde se afla romance tocmai pentru dezvoltarea unor programe care sa faca posibila realizarea scopurilor UNIFERO de sustinere a drepturilor femeilor in general si a romancelor in special.

INVITATIE LA CONGRESUL CADRELOR DIDACTICE
In 27-30 august 2009, in Bucuresti, se va desfasura sub patronajul MECI un Congres al Cadrelor Didactice din Romania care are ca principal scop dezbaterea proiectelor legislative din domeniul educatiei. La eveniment sunt asteptati si inalti oficiali romani, personalitati ale stiintelor educatiei, reprezentanti ai sindicatelor, asociatiilor parintilor, studentilor si elevilor. Vor participa si 62 de cadre didactice de peste hotare.
Participantilor din tara li se asigura cazare gratuita si masa la pret de cantina. Obtinandu-se o sala (Sala de festivitati din Complexul Leu- str Iuliu Maniu nr 1-3) cu o capacitate mai mare decat cea initiala, pe langa 600 de participanti din toate judetele tarii deja inscrisi, se mai pot inscrie si alti doritori la tel 0723259290 sau 0746787740 sau vioreldolha@yahoo.com . Eugen Petri-mostenirea artistica romaneasca
Londra, 31 iulie 2009
Oboseala zilei calatoreste odata cu mine spre casa. Parfumul seducator al Londrei se perinda de-alungul strazilor , iar eu ma intorc victorioasa dintr-o lupta care aparent nu este a mea. Cu acesta bucurie a reusitei sculptorului Eugen Petri in suflet, pot sa trec in revista si fata estivala a orasului: vitrine pretentioase, restaurante sofisticate, florile verii respirind tandru in gradini, masutele de lemn inghesuite pe trotoarele strimte.
Ma simt victorioasa caci mostenirea artistica romaneasca a ajuns si la Londra prin arta lui Eugen Petri, expusa pina pe 21 august , la Societatea Regala a Sculptorilor Britanici.
Daca aveti ocazia sa vizitati expozitia organizata pentru premiile rezidentei Brian Mercer , veti descoperi rezultatele acestui premiu, acordat pentru prima oara unui artist strain. Timp de de 3 luni Eugen Petri a experimentat sculptura in marmura in Pitrasanta, in Italia, locul in care si Michelangelo a realizat sculpturile sale.

Oboseala zilei calatoreste odata cu mine spre casa. Parfumul seducator al Londrei se perinda de-alungul strazilor , iar eu ma intorc victorioasa dintr-o lupta care aparent nu este a mea. Cu acesta bucurie a reusitei sculptorului Eugen Petri in suflet, pot sa trec in revista si fata estivala a orasului: vitrine pretentioase, restaurante sofisticate, florile verii respirind tandru in gradini, masutele de lemn inghesuite pe trotoarele strimte.
Ma simt victorioasa caci mostenirea artistica romaneasca a ajuns si la Londra prin arta lui Eugen Petri, expusa pina pe 21 august , la Societatea Regala a Sculptorilor Britanici.
Daca aveti ocazia sa vizitati expozitia organizata pentru premiile rezidentei Brian Mercer , veti descoperi rezultatele acestui premiu, acordat pentru prima oara unui artist strain. Timp de de 3 luni Eugen Petri a experimentat sculptura in marmura in Pitrasanta, in Italia, locul in care si Michelangelo a realizat sculpturile sale.

The Royal British Society of Sculptors’ Brian Mercer supported stone residency award proved so successful over the previous two years that in 2008 The Brian Mercer Charitable Trust extended this opportunity to sculptors working in bronze. Two talented sculptors were selected from the RBS membership to spend 3 months developing their skills with the support and guidance of world renowned artisans in Pietrasanta, Tuscany. The selection panel were seeking to identify two sculptors who could seize the opportunity to learn, experiment and extend their boundaries. In 2008 Samantha Donnelly ARBS was awarded the Brian Mercer Bronze Residency at Fonderia Artistica Mariani and Eugen Petri ARBS was awarded the Brian Mercer Stone Residency at Fondazione Sem. This exhibition celebrates the discoveries of Samantha Donnelly and Eugen Petri during their 2008 Residencies.

The Royal British Society of Sculptors
Committed to the pursuit of excellence in the art form, the Society aims to inspire, inform and engage people with sculpture. It offers opportunities to see/experience the extraordinary diversity of contemporary work and to learn about it from those that make it. It supports sculptors by providing bursaries to newly emergent sculptors, professional development seminars, a mentoring scheme and awards. It is a membership society of professional sculptors and was established in 1905 as a not-for-profit company, becoming a registered charity in 1963. It is the oldest and largest organisation dedicated to sculpture in the UK.
The Brian Mercer Charitable Trust
Dr Brian Mercer OBE was a talented and successful industrialist and inventor. Above all he was a creative individual of the highest order. According to his wishes, a charity was established in his name which primarily supports original and innovative scientific and medical research. But Brian Mercer also had a passion for art so he also wanted his charity to support the development of talented artists. In pursuing this wish, through the Royal British Society of Sculptors the Brian Mercer Charitable Trust established a marble sculpting residency in Pietrasanta. The success of the scheme has now led to a similar residency in bronze casting. Thus far, all four of the sculptors have described their experience in Pietrasanta as “life-changing”. We very much hope this continues.
Fondazione Sem
Established in March 2003, the Foundation derives its name and founding principles from the cultural legacy of Sem Ghelardini, who in his time founded and directed Studio Sem. The foundation currently provides: scholarships for young artists or those currently working in another material. Conferences and lectures on the creative process, art and culture in general and professional training for young artisans.
Fonderia Artistica Mariani
The foundry has a long tradition of producing high quality bronze sculptures following the same method of lost wax casting used by Benvenuto Cellini. Improved today by modern technology and machinery this is still the most accurate and reliable way of creating sculptures and bronze monuments.

POLICE have warned a jeweller for “racially offensive” conduct after he banned Romanian gypsies following a series of raids on his store.
Michael Plant, 62, believes the east European travellers are behind the raids in which gems are snatched while other members of the gang distract staff.
But when he placed a sign in his shop window saying that he did not serve Romanian or east European gypsies he was told by a senior police officer to take it down – or face prosecution on race-hate charges.
Police have been unable to trace the thieves.
Mr Plant, who has run his jewellery shop in Altrincham, Cheshire, with his Austrian wife Monika, 62, for 22 years said: “I’m not racist, but the fact is I have been targeted repeatedly by eastern European criminals.
“I should have a right to say which people come into my shop and not face allegations of racial discrimination.
“I should be able to choose whom I serve. That’s not just eastern Europeans – if someone comes in drunk they will not be served either.
“All I want is a commonsense approach. The police are reactive rather than proactive to crime, they wait for it to happen before they solve it, rather than the other way round.
“I think these Romanians and eastern European criminals are letting their fellow countrymen down. Obviously I don’t think all of them are bad, but how can I distinguish who is good and who is bad?
“I’ve got a foreign wife and we have foreign friends. But some people coming in to this country illegally seem to have more rights than me.”
Mr Plant made a stand after the latest theft last Saturday when a man’s gold wedding ring was stolen.
He added: “They always say they’re Spanish, but they aren’t. I speak more Spanish than them. They use distraction techniques like a child running around and they get away with your stock. One morning I lost nine bracelets, worth well into four figures.
“I think they must pass our name around because about every five or six weeks I get another group of people, sometimes with or without children.
“They come in and ask for something and we usually haven’t got it. They’re quicker than Paul Daniels.”
Following the latest incident Mr Plant called in police, then put the notice on the door on Monday. He got a warning from senior officers shortly afterwards offering him “words of advice” about the message.
He added: “This sign was written in anger after the latest robbery. I feared we would get more in that afternoon.
“I emailed the local police inspector to say what I had put up on the sign and I was told to take it down immediately.
“I’ve reported incidents to the police in the past. I’ve had several robberies over the years and the capture of criminals is very low. I bet if these people are caught for stealing, they probably wouldn’t even go into a magistrates court.
“They would just get a fixed penalty fine and that would be paid by one of the human rights organisations. The taxpayer pays for it all.”
Police said Mr Plant had fallen foul of the Race Relations Act which recognises gypsies and travellers as ethnic groups.
A spokesman said: “Police received a report that a shop was displaying a sign which contained writing that was deemed to be offensive.
“Officers have spoken to the owner of the shop. He has been advised that the notice is off ensive and he has since removed it.
“We take all complaints of this nature extremely seriously.”

Michael Plant, 62, called in officers after expensive gems were repeatedly stolen from his jewellery shop in distraction thefts.
He is convinced the thefts were perpetrated by a Romanian crime gang and so placed a card in his shop window which read: "Sorry, we do not serve Eastern Europeans or Gipsies".
But the move earned him another visit from the police who told him to take the sign down or face possible prosecution for race hate charges.
Despite inquiries police have been unable to trace the thieves.

POLICE have warned a jeweller for “racially offensive” conduct after he banned Romanian gypsies following a series of raids on his store.
Michael Plant, 62, believes the east European travellers are behind the raids in which gems are snatched while other members of the gang distract staff.
But when he placed a sign in his shop window saying that he did not serve Romanian or east European gypsies he was told by a senior police officer to take it down – or face prosecution on race-hate charges.
Police have been unable to trace the thieves.
Mr Plant, who has run his jewellery shop in Altrincham, Cheshire, with his Austrian wife Monika, 62, for 22 years said: “I’m not racist, but the fact is I have been targeted repeatedly by eastern European criminals.
“I should have a right to say which people come into my shop and not face allegations of racial discrimination.
“I should be able to choose whom I serve. That’s not just eastern Europeans – if someone comes in drunk they will not be served either.
“All I want is a commonsense approach. The police are reactive rather than proactive to crime, they wait for it to happen before they solve it, rather than the other way round.
“I think these Romanians and eastern European criminals are letting their fellow countrymen down. Obviously I don’t think all of them are bad, but how can I distinguish who is good and who is bad?
“I’ve got a foreign wife and we have foreign friends. But some people coming in to this country illegally seem to have more rights than me.”
Mr Plant made a stand after the latest theft last Saturday when a man’s gold wedding ring was stolen.
He added: “They always say they’re Spanish, but they aren’t. I speak more Spanish than them. They use distraction techniques like a child running around and they get away with your stock. One morning I lost nine bracelets, worth well into four figures.
“I think they must pass our name around because about every five or six weeks I get another group of people, sometimes with or without children.
“They come in and ask for something and we usually haven’t got it. They’re quicker than Paul Daniels.”
Following the latest incident Mr Plant called in police, then put the notice on the door on Monday. He got a warning from senior officers shortly afterwards offering him “words of advice” about the message.
He added: “This sign was written in anger after the latest robbery. I feared we would get more in that afternoon.
“I emailed the local police inspector to say what I had put up on the sign and I was told to take it down immediately.
“I’ve reported incidents to the police in the past. I’ve had several robberies over the years and the capture of criminals is very low. I bet if these people are caught for stealing, they probably wouldn’t even go into a magistrates court.
“They would just get a fixed penalty fine and that would be paid by one of the human rights organisations. The taxpayer pays for it all.”
Police said Mr Plant had fallen foul of the Race Relations Act which recognises gypsies and travellers as ethnic groups.
A spokesman said: “Police received a report that a shop was displaying a sign which contained writing that was deemed to be offensive.
“Officers have spoken to the owner of the shop. He has been advised that the notice is off ensive and he has since removed it.
“We take all complaints of this nature extremely seriously.”

Michael Plant, 62, called in officers after expensive gems were repeatedly stolen from his jewellery shop in distraction thefts.
He is convinced the thefts were perpetrated by a Romanian crime gang and so placed a card in his shop window which read: "Sorry, we do not serve Eastern Europeans or Gipsies".
But the move earned him another visit from the police who told him to take the sign down or face possible prosecution for race hate charges.
Despite inquiries police have been unable to trace the thieves.

Mr Plant claims he has been robbed on a regular basis over the past 18 months, most recently last Saturday when a gold wedding ring was stolen.

Votati Parcul National Retezat- pina pe 21 iulie 2009
Dragilor si Dragelor,
O parte din noi chiar am vazut splendorile astea (vezi filmul youtube si pozele) pe viu si marturisesc ca vazandu-le din nou m-a apucat un dor nebun sa ma intorc acolo si sa impartasesc si copiilor secretul acelui colt de rai. Va invit sa votati Retezatul in randul celor 7 noi minuni naturale ale lumii,procedura e mai jos si e f simpla.
De asemenea, va invit sa cititi articolul de mai jos:
Pentru cei ocupati, pe scurt:
Masivul Retezat este singurul obiectiv care reprezinta Romania in cursa pentru CELE 7 MINUNI NATURALE ALE LUMII. Avem timp sa il votam, pana in 7 iulie, pentru a ramane intre primele 77 nominalizari. In cazul in care Retezatul va ajunge printre primele 77 sau chiar 21 de finaliste, acesta va avea enorm de castigat la capitolul imagine (MULTA PUBLICITATE GRATUITA), implicit in ceea e priveste resursele financiare si atragerea atentiei asupra ariilor protejate (dupa cum bine stiti Retezatul este Parc National), deci mai multa protectie oficiala. Organizatorii competitiei, care au desfasurat si competitia CELE 7 MINUNI ANTROPICE ALE LUMII (constructii facute de om) au anuntat ca numarul de turisti a crescut cu pana la 70 la suta, in cazul castigatoarelor. De votat se voteaza simplu, si nu dureaza decat 2 minute. Nu vi se cer decat numele, o adresa de e-mail, varsta si tara .
Aveti 7 voturi si... nu, nu puteti vota Retezatul de 7 ori si nici nu trebuie sa alegeti cate un obiectiv natural de pe fiecare continent. Puneti Retezatul primul, iar apoi alegeti ce va place. Daca vreti, puteti vota, la Republica Moldova , Codri, daca nu alegeti ce va place voua. Mai este si dunarea, insa aceea nu reprezinta Romania , ci mai multe tari europene pe care le parcurge, in drumul ei spre Delta si spre Mare.
Aa, si... nu, nu puteti vota decat o singura data de pe o adresa de mail. Daca vreti sa votati de doua ori va trebui sa puneti alte date personale, ceea ce nu ar fi tocmai corect. Totusi, voi faceti cum credeti ca e mai bine.
Ca sa va conving de frumusetea Retezatului va trimit un link de pe you tube. A fost filmat de Dani Lorincz, un operator tv foarte bun, din Deva, impreuna cu Angi, sotia lui, care face niste montaje de televiziune foarte inspirate.

DETALIAT, PENTRU CEI CARE AU MAI MULT TIMP.
Masivul Retezat, din judetul Hunedoara, a intrat in cursa pentru CELE 7 MINUNI NATURALE ALE LUMII, ca singurul obiectiv care reprezinta Romania .
In acest moment sunt, in total, 261 de nominalizari din toata lumea, locuri care mai de care mai frumoase, fara indoiala, printre care si Retezatul.
Aceasta este, deja, o performanta extraordinara, insa impreuna putem face si mai mult!
In data de 7 iulie, din totalul de 261 de nominalizari vor ramane in cursa numai primele 77, in functie de numarul de voturi obtinute pe internet.
Ulterior, pana in 21 iulie un comitet de experti va stabili 21 de finaliste, iar selectia finala pentru primele 7 minuni ale lumii va fi facuta tot prin intermediul voturilor prin internet.
Cine si ce anume are de castigat?
M-ati intrebat, unii dintre voi, ce se intampla daca Retezatul va castiga, iesind pe locul intai.
Obiectiv vorbind, este foarte putin probabil sa existe o asemenea sansa pentru Romania ...
Ar insemna, deja, enorm daca muntele nostru ar intra in primele 77 de finaliste, sau chiar mai mult in primele 21. Pana la momentul nominalizarii in primele 261 de minuni ale lumii, Retezatul a adunat peste 20 de milioane de voturi, iar numaratoarea acestora continua... Daca, totusi, Retezatul se va clasa cat mai sus, poate in primele 21, asta ar insemna extraordinar de mult: Parcul National "Retezat" ar avea mult mai multa vizibilitate, prin promovare gratuita, ceea ce ar atrage mai multi turisti, dar si atentia autoritatilor si speram noi, si mai multa protectie pentru aceasta arie protejata superba.
Mai mult, zonele Vaii Jiului si Hateg, ar atrage mai multi bani din turism (in afara de Retezat, judetul Hunedoara are sute de obiective turistice cu un potential urias, insa neexploatate, care ar punea sa vina ca un reinforcement pe partea de oferta turistica, pe langa vizitarea Retezatului) , iar asta ar fi un lucru foarte bun, pentru ca in acest moment Valea Jiului este, realmente o Vale a Plangerii: saracie extrema, niciun viitor.
Detalii foarte amanuntite despre modalitatea de a vota gasiti in pagina Administratiei Parcului National Retezat, care - va spun din proprie experienta - se implica mult, fiind printre putinele autoritati pe care le respect, din pacate sunt foarte putini si ei si nu au suficienta sustinere... ca ar fi foarte multe de facut...

Foarte important!
Sa nu va ganditi ca votul vostru nu conteaza, daca o sa vedeti ca Parcul National "Retezat" nu are sustinere oficiala.
Administratorul site-ului organizator al acestei competitii nu a facut inca up-date, insa Florina Crisan, purtatorul de cuvant al Administratiei Parcului National "Retezat", a anuntat, in 10 februarie 2009, ca toate actele si componenta Consiliului de sustinere au fost trimise si inregistrate cu succes la New Seven Natural Wonders.

Romanca a implinit 4 ani - interviu de Sorin Cehan , clik pt foto
Cu patru ani in urma, pe 21 iunie, lua fiinta la Londra, in cartierul Hammersmith & Fulham, "Romanian Women Society", care si-a schimbat apoi numele in "Romanca", una dintre cele mai active asociatii romanesti din Marea Britanie. Ionela Flood, presedinta asociatiei, trece in revista istoria, realizarile si planurile acestei organizatii.
Ionela Flood a absolvit ASE, a lucrat ca director in primariile sectoarelor 1 si 2, cu primari de toate culorile politice, si a infiintat o asociatie de voluntariat la Bucuresti, Infomanager. A plecat din Bucuresti in 2002, lasand liber postul de director al Centrului Cultural Eminescu. "Eu n-am plecat de nemultumita din Romania, ci am plecat pentru ca am ales sa ma casatoresc cu un englez. Nu-mi pare rau ca am plecat, dar mi-a fost ingrozitor de greu sa ma adaptez." De fapt, relatiile ei cu Romania sunt foarte stranse: "Eu nu pot sa stau fara Romania, cel putin o data la doua luni merg acasa. Mi se face dor, mi-e dor de acasa tot timpul." La Londra, primul lucru pe care l-a facut a fost sa infiinteze o filiala a asociatiei de voluntariat din Romania, cu care a organizat doi ani la rand ziua Romaniei, inainte de crearea societatii "Romanca". "Pe 21 iunie 2005, am fost cinci fete care am semnat constitutia asociatiei si am depus-o la consiliul Hammersmith & Fulham. S-a numit initial «Romanian Women Society». Am schimbat apoi denumirea in «Romanca», si, cand vom avea bani si timp pentru rebranding, vom adauga la denumire si «Romanul». Membrii sunt de acord sa schimbam denumirea." Cotizatia membrilor simpli in "Romanca" este de 10 £/an, iar cei din board platesc 120 £/an. Fondurile sunt intotdeauna insuficiente, dar "faptul ca putem face imagine Romaniei ne mobilizeaza".
Romanian Day
Noua asociatie a continuat sa organizeze Romanian Day, in contextul festivalului local din cartierul Hammersmith & Fulham, in parteneriat cu autoritatile locale. In fiecare an, mai putin anul trecut, pentru ca la putere au venit conservatorii, care au taiat fondurile pentru festival. Romanian Day insemna "o expozitie, poate un mix-media, expo cu gastronomie romaneasca, distribuire de brosuri", actiuni organizate cu voluntari romani. "Vreau sa multumesc celor peste 150 de voluntari romani care in acesti patru ani si-au dedicat timp si resurse importrante actiunilor societatii. Avem in continuare nevoie de voluntari". Asociatia are si activitate sociala, ofera sfaturi minimale pentru cei care vor sa-si deschida un business, de exemplu, si ofera posibilitatea de training free in diverse domenii, datorita unui network de ong-uri din care face parte. A mai fost organizata o discoteca romaneasca, timp de 6 luni, care n-a mers insa, s-au mai organizat diverse petreceri, bbq, dar nu acestea au dat prestigiu asociatiei, ci luari de pozitie publice si proiecte importante. Un moment important a fost scrisoarea deschisa catre Tony Blair, in paralel cu o petitie a mai multor asociatii, contra impunerii de restrictii pentru lucratorii romani. O a doua scrisoare deschisa a fost trimisa de "Romanca" premierului Gordon Brown, pe aceeasi tema: "Scrisoarea catre Brown a avut un rezultat mai bun, pentru ca ne-au suplimentat locurile de munca cu 8.000", spune Ionela. La proiecte, asociatia are cu ce se lauda in acesti patru ani. Amintim doar doua dintre ele: un proiect in colaborare cu orchestra London Schubert Players, pentru promovarea compozitiilor compozitorilor romani moderni si contemporani, proiect finalizat cu 8 concerte in toata Londra. Un alt proiect, "Art and Music Festival", in colaborare cu institutii prestigioase, a avut ca scop prezentarea artei populare traditionale romanesti in Marea Britanie.
Sindicat
Ionela Flood lucreaza acum ca functionar la un mare ONG din Londra (care are circa 700 de angajati) si se ocupa de PR pe servicii sociale pentru cei peste 55 ani. Este lider de sindicat in cadrul unuia din cele mai mari sindicate din Marea Britanie, UNISON, la ultima conferinta a administratiei publice reprezentand filiala de housing association. "Avem un proiect in curs cu asociatia Romanca, de infiintare a unui sindicat pentru apararea drepturilor romanilor care lucreaza in constructii. Initiativa a venit de la mai multi romani care au firme de constructii aici." Drepturile romanilor, Belfast? "Condamnam cu fermitate actele rasiste de la Belfast. Este pentru prima data cand se intampla asa ceva in Anglia. Exista rasism contra romanilor aici si eu l-am simtit pe pielea mea. Suntem perceputi ca o tara de tigani, de hoti, de mancatori de copii. Belfast, apoi, este oricum o zona cu o cultura mai putin toleranta. Dar sa fim sinceri, in Romania, intoleranta este chiar mai mare decat la Belfast."

The Royal British Society of Sculptors’ Brian Mercer supported stone residency award proved so successful over the previous two years that in 2008 The Brian Mercer Charitable Trust extended this opportunity to sculptors working in bronze. Two talented sculptors were selected from the RBS membership to spend 3 months developing their skills with the support and guidance of world renowned artisans in Pietrasanta, Tuscany. The selection panel were seeking to identify two sculptors who could seize the opportunity to learn, experiment and extend their boundaries. In 2008 Samantha Donnelly ARBS was awarded the Brian Mercer Bronze Residency at Fonderia Artistica Mariani and Eugen Petri ARBS was awarded the Brian Mercer Stone Residency at Fondazione Sem. This exhibition celebrates the discoveries of Samantha Donnelly and Eugen Petri during their 2008 Residencies.

The Royal British Society of Sculptors
Committed to the pursuit of excellence in the art form, the Society aims to inspire, inform and engage people with sculpture. It offers opportunities to see/experience the extraordinary diversity of contemporary work and to learn about it from those that make it. It supports sculptors by providing bursaries to newly emergent sculptors, professional development seminars, a mentoring scheme and awards. It is a membership society of professional sculptors and was established in 1905 as a not-for-profit company, becoming a registered charity in 1963. It is the oldest and largest organisation dedicated to sculpture in the UK.
The Brian Mercer Charitable Trust
Dr Brian Mercer OBE was a talented and successful industrialist and inventor. Above all he was a creative individual of the highest order. According to his wishes, a charity was established in his name which primarily supports original and innovative scientific and medical research. But Brian Mercer also had a passion for art so he also wanted his charity to support the development of talented artists. In pursuing this wish, through the Royal British Society of Sculptors the Brian Mercer Charitable Trust established a marble sculpting residency in Pietrasanta. The success of the scheme has now led to a similar residency in bronze casting. Thus far, all four of the sculptors have described their experience in Pietrasanta as “life-changing”. We very much hope this continues.
Fondazione Sem
Established in March 2003, the Foundation derives its name and founding principles from the cultural legacy of Sem Ghelardini, who in his time founded and directed Studio Sem. The foundation currently provides: scholarships for young artists or those currently working in another material. Conferences and lectures on the creative process, art and culture in general and professional training for young artisans.
Fonderia Artistica Mariani
The foundry has a long tradition of producing high quality bronze sculptures following the same method of lost wax casting used by Benvenuto Cellini. Improved today by modern technology and machinery this is still the most accurate and reliable way of creating sculptures and bronze monuments.
